North Africa is about to see some action in the new Conquest of the Empire by Eagle Games
This is the new edition of Conquest of the Empire. The original was released in 1984 by Milton Bradley as part of their "Gamemaster" series. Designed by Larry Harris, players battle for control of the Mediterranean to become Caeser during ancient Rome. In 2005, the game got a makeover and a rewrite of the rules. Published by Eagle Games, the game now includes two sets of rules, a huge board, and wonderfully sculped figures. The first set of rules is a streamlined version of the original set, with some needed changes taking place. The second set of rules is based on a Martin Wallace design: Struggle of Empires.
I've played the first set of rules so far. Great game. Very easy to get into and you can have from 2-6 players. Definitely worth checking out.
