The Lord Of The Rings: Shadows Of Angmar

April this year witnessed the launch of Turbine's MMO The Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar and unsurprisingly it didn't take the title long to top the PC charts in Europe and North America. With the game out the door, the developer began work on its first major content update for the game, which we know as Book 9: Shores of Evendim - Book 9 released on June 14.

It's the beginning of a huge journey for Turbine as epic as Tolkien's work itself, and looking ahead there's all manner of delights to anticipate as the developer slowly opens up new areas of Middle-earth for adventure and exploration.
